The concept development for the exhibition showcase was guided by two primary objectives from the outset: to immediately capture the attention of visitors, and to clearly communicate the full spectrum of solutions within the “Renewable Gas” and “Waste to X” portfolios in a coherent and engaging manner.

In response to this challenge, the idea emerged to move away from abstract explanations and instead translate complex technologies into a playful, interactive experience. At the heart of the concept is a racetrack, where two collection vehicles – one for residual waste and one for organic waste – compete against each other. This approach provides an intuitive entry point into the core topic and actively encourages visitor engagement.

Along the racetrack, the various conversion and recovery processes are brought to life: a total of eleven plant models, representing different solution portfolios, are integrated into the setup. These models present the technologies in a tangible way while illustrating their role within the overall system. This creates a continuous storyline that makes the transformation of waste streams into valuable energy carriers both accessible and easy to understand.

The showcase successfully combines attention-grabbing design, interactivity and knowledge transfer, delivering an experience that resonates on both an emotional and an intellectual level.
